| Christian Unity |
St Edmunds is an active member of Churches Together in Godalming. The Christian Unity group coordinates our participation in numerous ecumenical events throughout the year, including Prayer Breakfasts, Lent Groups, the March of Witness on Good Friday, and the joint ecumenical communion service in the New Year. |

| First Holy Communion |
Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion is offered to children during the autumn and Easter terms of Year 4. The First Holy Communion Masses are celebrated in May. The programme for 2011/12 can be found here.

| Justice and Peace |
The group meets each month on a Wednesday evening to look at and raise awareness of justice and peace issues. The group warmly invites new members to join us in support of the poor and helpless, and those who have no-one to speak up for them.
The group organises events such as Prayer for Peace vigils, Lenten collections for our twin Parish of Kasanka in Zambia, witness eg Peace March against Iraq War; runs Fair Trade stall after Masses. |
| Liturgy |
The Parish Liturgy Group meets three to four times a year, usually prior to Lent, after Easter, after the summer holidays, and just before Advent. Representatives from all the groups involved in the liturgy, from altar servers to welcomers, supply the dates, times, venues, and requirements for proposed liturgical events in the coming period. These events include not only the usual weekly celebrations, but also Christmas, Easter and special liturgies such as the 'Latin' Masses, First Communion and Children's Masses, and Youth Masses. |
| Marriage & Family Life |
This group coordinates a range of activities, for example Marriage Preparation, Marriage Encounter, Bereavement Counselling, as well as organising family social events such as the annual Parish Family Day, Parish Suppers, and presentations for special anniversaries and birthdays within the Parish. |
| Pastoral Renewal |
Involved in organising a range of activities such as the Alpha and Post-Alpha programmes, ongoing Prayer Groups, RCIA, and Holy Spirit seminars. |

| Social Concerns |
The group looks after many activities including arranging lifts to Mass, visits to the sick both at home and to those in hospital, financial help to Parishioners, DSS queries, help for the homeless, help for those seeking accommodation, distribution of Christmas hampers to the elderly, and Pro Life activities (collections, silent witness etc). |
